How to Increase Milk Supply During Period

If you are having trouble getting enough milk with your pump, try using a different setting or switch to a different brand. You can also ask your lactation consultant for advice on how to use the pump for maximum benefit.

2. Eat Lactogenic Foods

Eating lactogenic foods is one of the best ways to increase your breast milk supply during your period. Lactogenic foods are specially designed to help stimulate and increase your body’s production of breast milk. Many lactogenic foods are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, zinc, vitamin E, B-vitamins, and other essential nutrients needed for healthy breast milk production.

Some popular lactogenic foods include oats, barley, wheat, nuts, seeds, leafy greens, salmon, tuna, eggs, and legumes. These foods are also loaded with antioxidants that can help fight inflammation, boost energy levels, and improve your overall health.

In addition to eating lactogenic foods, you should also make sure to drink plenty of fluids. Water is essential for helping your body produce more breast milk, so it’s important to stay hydrated throughout the day. You can also supplement your water intake with herbal teas or smoothies.

By making sure to get plenty of nourishment from lactogenic foods and fluids during your period, you will be well on your way to increasing your breast milk supply.

3. Drink Plenty of Fluids

Drinking plenty of fluids is a great way to boost your milk supply during your period. Water is always the best choice, but herbal tea and lactation shakes are also a great way to get more fluids into your body. Make sure you are drinking 8-10 glasses of fluid a day, and if you feel thirsty, have an extra glass or two. 5.Massage Your Breasts

Use your hands to gently stroke your breasts in a circular motion, beginning at the outer edge and moving toward the nipple.
