How to Increase Your Faith in God

This post is about faith scriptures

What is having faith? Faith is believing that everything is going to work out despite not seeing a solution. Its trusting in God no matter the circumstances. Having strong faith can improve your overall health because you are not worried about what is going to happen because some way somehow things will come to fruition. You are being optimistic about the situation, meaning there is less stress on your mind and body. However, there are times when you have little faith and that is okay. Here are three ways to strengthen it.

  1. Pray! – Praying is a good way to release stress from your mind. Speak about what is bothering you and what you need, although He already knows. Ask for help and guidance because it is very easy to get turn around in this thing called life. Ask for forgiveness and protection. Praying is like talking to an old friend who knows everything about you, but they are just there to listen. Speak from your heart and let everything out. Trust in God and do not doubt the process. Although you don’t know the outcome, he has a plan for you.
  2. Read! – Reading your Bible is a great way to increase your faith. There are so many instances in the Bible where people have faced trials and tribulations. Their faith was tested, but they did not give up on God. In the book of Job, Satan asks God to let him test Job by stripping him of his wealth and family. Satan wagered that in his darkest hour, Job would curse God and turn his back on him. Job lost everything; however, he did not waver. In the end, he was blessed beyond expectations. Knowing the stories of the bible can help you in your time of need and help to overcome any obstacle.
  3. Trust!- I know it is hard to believe that everything is going to work out when you are at your lowest point. Ask yourself do I believe in His word? Do I know that he will never leave me nor forsake me? If you answered yes to both questions, do your part, and trust the process. If you don’t remember any scriptures from the Bible, remember this one, James 2:18. It reads, “Faith without work is dead.” Do you know what that mean? It means don’t just have faith and not do the work to see your wants and needs come to past. Put the work and time in and you will be rewarded.
