Baby’s Growth & Development
In week 6, your baby’s head is beginning to take form, although they are still very tiny. During Week 6 of pregnancy your baby is the size of a sweet pea. Facial features such as as the cheeks, chin, and jaw are forming. Your baby now has two small indentations on either side of their head. These will be your baby’s ear canals. Your baby’s eyes are also in development this week. However they are just two small spots that will develop in the coming weeks.
Your Body During Week 6
With all the pregnancy symptoms that you are experiencing this week, you can add frequent urination to the list. This is caused by the increase blood flow to your pelvis to support your growing baby. Your kidneys are also working overtime to efficiently remove waste from your body. Going to the restroom several times out the day can be tiresome, however, you should not reduce your intake of liquids. Water is especially needed to keep you hydrated. During week 6 of pregnancy, you are probably still bloated. Indigestion is a symptom that you will feel throughout your pregnancy, especially if your baby grows a head full of hair in the womb.
